Karla S Ramsey, MD
Dr. Ramsey has been practicing Pediatrics in the Houston area for over 30 years. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology & Para Medical Sports Medicine from Houston Baptist University. Dr. Ramsey graduated from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, Texas and completed her Pediatric Residency in 1987. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Ramsey’s clinical interests include asthma management, behavioral and family counseling, management of attention deficit disorder, pediatric urgent care, and well child health maintenance.
Dr. Ramsey has been married to Dr. Jim Ramsey for more than 40 years. They have four children and six grandchildren. They are members of Community of Faith Church. They enjoy spending time with their children and chasing their adorable grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, and jogging.
Deanna Daigle, MS, PA-C
Deanna received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2003. After college, she attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston graduating as a Physician Assistant in 2005. Because of a love for children and their medical needs, she chose Pediatrics as her area of interest and began working with Dr. Ramsey in 2005.
In the clinic, she enjoys well-child care as well as treating acute illnesses. She loves to help new parents as well as experienced parents navigate parenthood. As an experienced clinician and mother of four, she provides support, encouragement, and helpful advice to her patients and their family.
Deanna has been married to her husband Mark for over 19 years and they have four children, Andrew, Addison, Olivia and Luke. She enjoys reading, gardening, hanging out with her children, family, and friends. She loves watching her sons on the baseball and football fields and her daughters on the volleyball court, softball field, or cheer squad.
Jodi McLain, RN, MSN, PNP
Jodi graduated with honors from the University of Tulsa in 1998 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and from the University of Missouri Kansas-City in 2001 with her Masters of Science in Nursing and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She went on to obtain certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Jodi worked in the PICU at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City and after her graduation in 2001, she joined Birth & Beyond Pediatrics in Tulsa, OK where she practiced until moving to the Cypress area.
Her clinical interests include well child care, asthma management, and patient/parent education. Jodi looks forward to helping with these or any other health issues your child may have.
Jodi grew up in Northeast Oklahoma. She and husband Tony have been married over 23 years. They have two beautiful daughters, Addison Grace and Alyx Dawn. She enjoys spending time with her daughters and watching them compete on the basketball and volleyball court.
Tamara Kapplinger, MS, PA-C
Tamara received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from the University of St. Thomas, Houston in 1999. After college, she was a research assistant with the University of Texas Health Science Center studying the effects of traumatic brain injuries in children. She then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston graduating as a Physician Assistant in 2005. Her love of children eventually drew her towards pediatrics and she has enjoyed working in pediatrics for over nine years.
Her clinical interests include well child care, breastfeeding support, and asthma management.
Tamara has been happily married to her husband, Jason, for over 13 years and they have two beautiful daughters, Gabby and Bella. She enjoys playing with her children, cooking/baking, country & western dancing, reading, and spending time with family.
